New Visitor Registration system 10/08
Dear Photographer
We wrote to you in September regarding a new visitor enquiry system we were developing for www.OurWeddingMemories.co.uk. This system is now live on the website and many of you will already have received enquiries and contact details from registered visitors. In the main this development has had a good response.
However, the main focus of Our Wedding Memories has always been in directing traffic to our advertisers websites and this will continue to be the case. The new registration system has been set up so as not to detract from existing links and is an extra option for visitors. It should also help photographers receive extra enquiry and contact details, especially in these difficult times.
When a visitor registers, they have the option of contacting individual photographers or others within a particular region. Where a visitor selects to contact photographers in a region, photographers with active paid listings will receive full enquiry details including contact information. Other photographers with only free listings or inactive paid listings, will receive basic details and the option to purchase a listing in order to retrieve full details. All enquiries relevant to a photographer will be displayed in the photographers account and can viewed via the 'My Enquiries' link above each listing.
The visitor registration form is available via a 'more information' link on all paid listings on the regional results pages. This takes them to further details, including extra photos and text as well as the enquiry form.
We expect these changes to impact beneficially on the amount of overall traffic we receive to the website. Indeed many of the extra information pages are now indexed by Google and receiving direct traffic mainly for searches of photographers business names. If you have a paid listing try searching for your name on Google!
You can edit the extra information by logging into your account at http://www.ourweddingmemories.co.uk/files/login.php where you will see the 'Add/Edit Extra Information' link alongside all paid listings.
You can also add listings to your account when logged in.
